How to Create Rep Segments in Journey List Management

This guide walks you through using Rep Segmentation inside the Journey List Management wizard. It’s ideal for marketers setting up Journeys and wanting to automatically assign contacts to their respective sales reps based on a centralized Master List.

🧭 Step-by-Step: Segmenting Contacts by Rep in a Journey

1. Start a New Journey

2. Create and Configure Rep Segments

  • Click the blue Create Rep Segments button.

  • From the list that appears, select the Master List that contains your contacts and their assigned Sales Rep values.
  • You can use the search bar to quickly locate the correct list by name.

  • EO will then scan the selected list and detect all unique Sales Rep values.

  • A mapping panel will open, allowing you to:
    • Assign each Sales Rep to the appropriate EO user
  • Input a segment name for each mapping (e.g., "SEG Carey")

3. Save Mappings

  • Once all reps are mapped and named, click Save Mappings.
  • Evolved Office will automatically:
    • Create or update the segments
    • Parse and assign contacts to the correct rep segment

4. Proceed to Add Drip Actions

➕ Manage Master List Scaling

If new reps are added to the Master List later (e.g., a new rep inherits accounts):

  • Open the Manage Rep Segments panel again.
  • EO will detect unmapped rep values and show a + Add Mapping button.
  • Assign the new rep, provide a segment name, and click Save Mappings.
  • EO will immediately generate the new segment and begin assigning contacts accordingly.

👀 Viewing & Managing Segments in Journey List Manager

You can monitor and update rep segment mappings directly from the Journey List Manager:

  • Locate the Master List you're working with.
  • Under the Mng Segments column, click the gear icon.

  • This opens the mapping panel, where you can:
    • Review existing segment assignments
    • Add or remove mappings as needed
    • Rename or reassign segments
