Best practices: LinkedIn posting limits

EOSocial and all social media management companies connect to social sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. through a connection method called an API.

LinkedIn restricts how many times you can post to LinkedIn Profiles and LinkedIn Company Pages via the API they give third parties like EOSocial access to.

The restrictions are as follows:

Profile: 25 updates per 24 hour period.

Over the course of a 24 hour period, only 25 updates can be sent from EOSocial to LinkedIn for a LinkedIn profile. Posting more than this can stop the posts from being sent.

Company Pages: 20 shares per LinkedIn user

This means that, if you've added two LinkedIn Company Pages to your EOSocial account using the same LinkedIn profile, you can post a maximum of 20 messages to both pages in total within a 24 hour period.

Using the two LinkedIn Company Page examples; you can send 10 updates per Company Page.

If you needed to send more than 10 updates to these Company Pages you would need to add the same LinkedIn Company Page profile into EOSocial, using an alternative administrator from the LinkedIn Company Page.
