# How to Edit a Social Media Image with Canva

This article covers editing a social media image using Canva.

> **Before you start:** Make sure you've connected your account to Canva. See [**Getting Started with Canva in Evolved Office**](https://help.evolvedoffice.com/en/article/getting-started-with-canva-integration-in-evolved-office) for one-time setup steps.

### **Steps**

1. Go to your **Content** under **Social**.

2. Click the social post/image you want to edit.

3. Click **Edit in Canva**.

4. The Canva editor will open with your image loaded (standard size: **1080 x 1080**). Make your edits — add text, logos, graphics, etc.
5. When you're finished, click the **Evolved Office** icon at the bottom of the left-hand navigation in Canva, then **Save**.

6. Choose whether to:
7. - **Save as a copy** — check this box to keep your original image untouched and create a new version, or
    - **Overwrite original** — leave the box unchecked to replace the existing image with your edits.
8. Once published, your edited image will appear on the social post — and will also update in your Asset Manager.

### **Tips**

- You can also switch to a different image or design entirely while inside Canva — see [How to Browse Your Evolved Office Library from Within Canva](https://help.evolvedoffice.com/en/article/how-to-browse-your-evolved-office-library-from-within-canva) for details.
- Works with both free and paid Canva accounts. A few advanced photo tools (like background remover) require a paid plan.
- For help with specific photo tools (cropping, filters, background removal, etc.), see Canva's [Photo Editor guide](https://www.canva.com/help/image-editor/).
