# How to Add CNAME Records for SPF & DKIM by DNS Provider (GoDaddy, Cloudflare & More) | Evolved Office

## **GoDaddy**

1. Sign in to GoDaddy
Go to [**godaddy.com**](https://help.evolvedoffice.com/en/article/godaddy.com), click **Sign In** at the top right, and log in to your account.

2. Open your Domain Portfolio
From your account, navigate to My Account → Domains. Find the domain you want to configure and click on it.

3. Go to DNS settings
Click the **DNS** tab on the domain's page. You'll see your existing DNS records.

4. Add the Delivery (SPF) record
Click **Add New Record**, select **CNAME** from the Type dropdown, and fill in the fields below. Click **Save**.

    Type: CNAME
    Host Name: delivery
    Value: eapi.sslworld.netcorecloud.net
    TTL: 1 hour or default

**Note:** *GoDaddy automatically appends your domain to the Name field. Enter only the prefix (e.g **delivery**, NOT **delivery.yourdomain.com**).*

5. Add the Domain Key (DKIM) record
Click **Add New Record** again, select **CNAME**, and fill in the fields below. Click **Save**.

    Type: CNAME
    Host Name: nc2048.\_domainkey
    Value: dkim2048.world.netcorecloud.net
    TTL: 1 hour or default

6. Add the DMARC record
Click **Add New Record** again, select **TXT**, and enter the following information. Replace `yourdomain.com` with your actual domain, then click **Save**.

    Type: TXT
    Host Name: \_dmarc
    Value: v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto@yourdomain.com
    TTL: 1 hour or default

Important: Make sure `dmarc@yourdomain.com` is a valid mailbox or email alias that can receive DMARC reports.

GoDaddy automatically appends your domain to the Host Name. Enter only `_dmarc`, not `_dmarc.yourdomain.com`.

If your domain already has a DMARC record, edit the existing record instead. A domain must not have multiple DMARC records.

7. Wait for propagation & verify
DNS changes usually take effect within an hour, but can take up to 48 hours.

Verify via [MXToolbox](https://mxtoolbox.com/) CNAME Lookup using **delivery.yourdomain.com** and **nc2048.\_domainkey.yourdomain.com**

***Note:** If Domain Protection is enabled on your account, GoDaddy will prompt you to verify your identity via SMS or authenticator app before saving.*

## **Microsoft 365**

**Important:** Before you start: If the **\+ Add records** button is missing on the DNS records page, your domain is hosted elsewhere (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap). Log in to that register instead and follow it's guide.

1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Go to [**admin.microsoft.com**](https://help.evolvedoffice.com/en/article/admin.microsoft.com) and sign in with your admin account.

2. Go to Settings → Domains
In the left sidebar, click **Show all** to expand the full menu. Then navigate to Settings → Domains.

3. Select your domain
Click on the domain name you want to configure from the list.

4. Click DNS records → + Add records
On your domain's page, click the **DNS records** tab, then click **\+ Add records**. A panel will open on the right side.

5. Add the Delivery (SPF) record
Select **CNAME** as the type, fill in the fields below, then click **Save**.

    Type: CNAME
    Host Name: delivery
    Value: eapi.sslworld.netcorecloud.net
    TTL: 1 hour or default

6. Add the Domain Key (DKIM) record
Click **\+ Add records** again, select **CNAME**, fill in the fields below, then click **Save**.

    Type: CNAME
    Host Name: nc2048.\_domainkey
    Value: dkim2048.world.netcorecloud.net
    TTL: 1 hour or default

*Both records will appear under **Custom records** once saved.*

7. Add the DMARC record
Click **\+ Add records** again, select **TXT**, and enter the following information. Replace `yourdomain.com` with your actual domain, then click **Save**.

    Type: TXT
    Host Name: \_dmarc
    Value: v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto@yourdomain.com
    TTL: 1 hour or default

Important: Make sure `dmarc@yourdomain.com` is a valid mailbox or email alias that can receive DMARC reports.

Enter only `_dmarc` in the Host Name field unless Microsoft specifically requires the complete hostname.

If your domain already has a DMARC record, edit the existing record instead. A domain must not have multiple DMARC records.

8. Wait for propagation & verify
Usually 15–30 minutes, up to 48 hours.

Verify via [MXToolbox](https://mxtoolbox.com/) CNAME Lookup using **delivery.yourdomain.com** and **nc2048.\_domainkey.yourdomain.com**

## **Cloudflare**

1. Sign in to Cloudflare
Go to [**dash.cloudflare.com**](https://help.evolvedoffice.com/en/article/dash.cloudflare.com) and log in to your account.

2. Select your domain
From the home page, click on the domain you want to configure.

3. Go to DNS → Records
In the left sidebar, click **DNS**, then click **Records**. You'll see your existing DNS records.

4. Add the Delivery (SPF) record
Click **Add record**, select **CNAME** from the Type dropdown, and fill in the fields below and click **Save**.

    Type: CNAME
    Host Name: delivery
    Value/Target: eapi.sslworld.netcorecloud.net
Proxy status: DNS only (gray cloud)
    TTL: auto

***Important:** Set Proxy status to DNS only (gray cloud icon). If the orange proxy cloud is enabled, Cloudflare will mask the CNAME and email authentication will fail.*

5. Add the Domain Key (DKIM) record
Click **Add record** again, select **CNAME**, and fill in the fields below. Set Proxy status to **DNS only** again, then click **Save**.

    Type: CNAME
    Host Name: nc2048.\_domainkey
    Value/Target: dkim2048.world.netcorecloud.net
Proxy status: DNS only (gray cloud)
    TTL:

6. Add the DMARC record
Click **Add record** again, select **TXT**, and enter the following information. Replace `yourdomain.com` with your actual domain, then click **Save**.

    Type: TXT
    Name: \_dmarc
    Content: v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto@yourdomain.com
    TTL: Auto

Important: Make sure `dmarc@yourdomain.com` is a valid mailbox or email alias that can receive DMARC reports.

Cloudflare automatically appends your domain to the Name. Enter only `_dmarc`, not `_dmarc.yourdomain.com`.

TXT records do not use Cloudflare’s proxy setting. If your domain already has a DMARC record, edit the existing record instead. A domain must not have multiple DMARC records.

7. Wait for propagation & verify
Cloudflare DNS changes typically propagate within minutes, though it can take up to 48 hours.

Verify via [MXToolbox](https://mxtoolbox.com/) CNAME Lookup using **delivery.yourdomain.com** and **nc2048.\_domainkey.yourdomain.com**

## **Namecheap**

    TTL: Automatic

***Note:** Namecheap automatically appends your domain to the Hots field. Enter only the prefix (e.g. delivery, not delivey.yourdomain.com)*

5. Add the Domain Key (DKIM) record
Click **Add New Record** again, select **CNAME Record**, fill in the fields below, then click the **green checkmark ✓** to save.

    Type: CNAME Record
    Host Name: nc2048.\_domainkey
    Value: dkim2048.world.netcorecloud.net
    TTL: Automatic
